1997

US News and World Report March 1997:
J.Reuben Clark Law School 33rd among the top 50 law schools in nation. Marriott School graduate business program was ranked 46th among the top 50 business school programs in nation.

Success Magazine:
Marriott School business program one of the 25 best for entrepreneurs in September 1997.

Public Accounting Report’s Annual Survey of Accounting Professors:
Undergraduate and graduate accounting programs ranked 3rd in nation.

Chicago-Kent Law Review:
J. Reuben Clark Law School ranked 28th in nation in terms of published scholarship.

Merit Scholar:
BYU ranked 11th in nation with 128 National Merit Scholars in 1996-1997.

College Board:
BYU 5th in nation of number of Advanced Placement examination scores

1999

US News and World Report:
J. Reuben Clark School 29th among the top 50 law schools in nation. Marriott School is 49th among the top 50 business schools. BYU ranked 80th overall out of 228 schools for national undergraduate programs. Marriott school’s accounting ranked 6th and general management program ranked 31st.

BYU ranked 11th in nation with the enrollment of 133 freshman National Merit Scholars in 1998-99.

Sears Directors’ Cup:
Cougar Athletics ranked 12th in the nation in 1998-1999 for strength of overall athletic programs administered by the NACDA. BYU student athletes are well-represented on seasonal listing for Academic All-America honors.
